Spending Money to Save Money

Just the words, get my stomach tied in knots. I am not the type of person who believes I am saving money when I spend. You know like those great deals at the grocery store recently when I bought a huge container of shrimp and received one free. I call this a "discount" on money I would be paying or a "decrease" in expenses, but in my mind it is NEVER a savings.

Then I read a little into our vehicle policy, for the construction business and find there is even more money to be saved and we have not taken advantage of the Driving School Discount. Yes, I just got the bill and this is my standard and scheduled read through with each renewal. Funny, how I find something new every time or are they just changing things all the time?

Anyway, this is how I read it, if you have a business with 3 or more drivers and you send them to Driving School your policy may be entitled to a discount. How much of a discount? It doesn't say. Do we qualify? It doesn't say. It just says "it may be available to us".

This is the part that drives my agent crazy or at least I think it does. He never really complains. He is very patient with me. It is kind of surprising since I have to bother him so frequently. But that also means I do quite a bit of business with him. Saving money on our vehicle insurance for the business would just leave more profits in our pockets. Which means I am calling him to see if we qualify for the discount.

If we do, then I need to know how much for the classes and how much we would save on insurance before I could make the appropriate decision. I think this would only be an option if I could recoup the cost and have cleared savings in a years time.

Wait until I have to tell the guys, that they will be going to school. Maybe I could work it out on some crappy weather days. The linked school is a Driving School in Escondido. They are also in San Diego, California I bet they would be alright with that location for school. I hear business trip.
