Yea!! My big mouth actually did good!

Remember the person that told me they were getting locked into the PayDay loan? They came to the store this morning to tell me....THANKS!

"For What???" I didn't help them with their money crunch. I don't know them all that well, so loaning money, I couldn't do. Not that I have the cash laying around anyway.

This is what happened. They did get the PayDay Loan. From a place in the next town. But after talking with me and my suggestion to dig deep into their contact list and see if there was someway to break the current cycle, they came up with a plan.

I like the fact that they didn't think it would work, but tried anyway. How did they dig out of the payday debt, well I should say how are they digging out. The husband went to his employer, he works 3rd shift and shared his dilemma with the boss. Including the fact that he obtained a payday loan.

The boss, was shocked and went and got the guy an advance on his next paycheck to cover the cost of the loan and the loan. So at least they are going to stop the fees.

Then and this is the part I like. His wife went and got a part-time, one day a week job. Adding this to her full time work. It is on Saturdays, when he can stay with their kids. She is going to use this job to create an emergency fund.

I'm so happy for them. At least they are in control now. Instead of feeling they were spinning out of control.

If only all things could be fixed this easily. I'm glad my mouth runs all on it's own sometimes. Funny, at the time, I felt like I was intruding too much into their personal business. I never dreamed they were really listening. SWEET!
