Maybe tomorrow
If you have been following my blog and our financial progress, you are probably very aware that I have never posted for April. And if you are at the top of your game, you see May is coming in faster than a fox being chased by a hound dog.
Well, I have been busy, but that is no excuse.
I have been exhausted, and again that is no excuse.
The real issue here, stems from what I know. What I know is, my husband, myself and my family have put a jump on the spending season this year. And it isn't pretty.
The diva bought the Camaro - we fixed her window, fixed the exhaust, insured it (until she is legal), filled it with gas, changed the oil, detailed it, and finally waxed and buffed it. There may be more, but I don't have the receipts yet.
Then the boys needed a trailer for their new business - remember my wonderful husband pulled the growing up card and of course, I caved. We paid for the trailer. We paid for insurance. We paid for licensing. We paid for "needed" modifications (thanks to my perfect hubby).
The whole time the boys have been working, they are using my suburban and my gas etc.
Now my son just found a truck for his personal and business use - we changed the oil, installed new brakes, filled it with gas, bought the manual, detailed the vehicle, waxed and buffed the outside and purchased the equipment so this truck can pull our new trailer.
Our senior, the one that is graduating this weekend - came home complaining about her car. Guess what? She needs Struts. Back to the auto supply store my hubby went. Then her car needed an oil change, gas, new wiper blades, a good cleaning, wash and wax.
Do you see a pattern? Kids are expensive. I talk about them paying for everything, but they could never afford everything. I'm not sure we can......yep, I'm scared. This too shall pass.
There was also:
- all those dentist cleanings for the family
- my major dental work
- Prom - oh man was there prom
- my gramps birthday
- mothers day over $200 on meat alone
- summer clothes - we have only begun, but the numbers are rising
- compressor, my hubby has been wanting went on sale at Farm & Fleet. We already had one, something about more power - it's a guy thing.
It's probably too late but....................
UNCLE!!!
