Yesterday, in light of my hubby's neice's future and grad school debt, I was blessed with a Christmas idea.

When the numbers came up, I said "you need a saving her name's ass fund". Her mother went right along with it and we ended up coining it as the S.*first initial*.A. Fund.

With this in mind, I went to work. With the "rescue" implied I didn't just want a piggy bank. So, when I got to Things Remembered and saw the Noah's Ark bank I knew I found what I was looking for. Noah saved a bunch of asses.

I was able to get the item engraved, as Things Remembered always does. The price was all set to be $35.00. Then, I went to ebates and jumped in from there. Ebates will be giving me 6% back.

When I created an account at Things Remembered I received a 10% discount. Then I used my Discover Card to order and I will receive another 1% there.

Not bad, 17% off all together. I plan on filling the bank with some coins too, which I will pull from our change jar.

One more gift done. Yippee!

And No, I did not leave the comfort of my home to shop in the crowds today. There is nothing I need that bad. No discount is good enough.
