Busiest at the end of the year

With Christmas and all the parties and shopping, which are enough to add to our month, how come it never fails that the work load also increases. Or is it just me?

I didn't leave my desk until 9:43 last night. At which point, I forced myself to stop. By the time I changed into my jammies and brushed my teeth to lay down and read my current book for a bit, I heard my fax machine going off in my office. Un-stinkin-believable.

It took all my will power to not get up and see what came in. Curiosity is a terrible monster.

I'm glad I didn't get up though. Because the fax revealed that my entire work day today, has been changed. Everything I have planned to accomplish is being shaken up and re-routed to another day.

To add a little gas to the fire, my attorney is late with the documents for the sale of the business and new renter. She says we can still close Friday, but I am not going to push this with the buyer, until he gets a chance to read all the documents.

I think I am in a pressure cooker. This is why, I'm going to sell the business and get a job at Starbucks. :-)
