First Christmas Order Has Arrived!

I love the Internet! I love that I can sit in the comfort of my own home and shop for my Christmas gifts. No, rude people bumping into me, without an apology. No, headache from the looped Christmas Carols playing over and over again in each and every store. No worrying that I lost my credit card, my purse or my jacket while trying to juggle packages. No, hurrying out into the cold and distant parking lot, to unload my arms in the trunk before I begin the task again.

Of course, there is a down side to shopping at home. I don't get to hear the Christmas Carols or sing-a-long to get in the spirit of the occasion. I don't get to tell everyone with a hearty smile and warmth in my hear "Merry Christmas". I don't get to smell the Christmas fragrances from Yankee Candle, The Cookie Factory and the little home made candy stands in the center of the mall. I don't get a hot latte in my hands while I am wandering the mall seeing all the latest and greatest things - that I want. :-)

I'm sure I miss those awesome "sales" and huge "discounts". I'm okay with that, because I figure what ever I'm losing - I'm saving in lunch out, snacks and purchases for me and mine. I have to say, I am much more happy opening my door to the next delivery from my friendly UPS driver. Having spent less gas to travel to the mall - did I say I live a LOOONG way from any decent shopping think 40 minutes minimum.

Plus, when I don't get frazzled with the long car ride, the rude people and the endless search for items I have more time to work on my Christmas Spirit. More time to spend wrapping those gifts, making Christmas cookies and candies and enjoying the lights and time with my family.

Thank you Internet people, for bringing the mall to me. Thank you stores for that wonderful FREE Shipping, so I don't toil with the order. Thank you UPS for being the most loyal and trustworthy delivery company to grace my door step.

To all the folks working hard to make my Christmas more bearable - Thank YOU!

One ordered item in and I feel like I have a jump on this awesome season.

That is so true! I think I will do this as well. Post the things you are getting to get some idea.

I try to get as much as possible from online, but when I run out of ideas it's great to be able to go to the mall and just see whatever offers are out there - and to have fun with my husband, enjoying the Christmas spirit.
