I'll give up my credit card when.............

I find an interest bearing checking account without fees and with a cash back debit card.
Does such a thing exist? Probably wouldn't be the best account for folks that can't manage their spending. And the bank that did have this type of account available to it's customers, wouldn't find it profitable.
It would definitely be a dream account for me. Since, I wouldn't need to go to the hassle of moving my money to a savings account every month, until my credit card bill comes in. Then transferring the cash back before the bill is due. Then, clicking to receive my cash back and apply it to my balance. Followed by the clicking to pay the bill due.
I want it all in one nice little account.
  • No Fees
  • No or Low Minimums
  • 1% minimum cash back on all debit card purchases
  • Interest that can compete with online banks (ING & HSBC)
  • I want to have PAPER checks, just in case
  • I want free bill pay
  • I want free online access
  • I want to be able to link all my accounts to this one

Give me that account - and I will NEVER use a credit card again. I will maintain only one checking account. I will be loyal to your debit card.

This is my dream account. The only way I will walk away from my credit cards.

ING has a checking account that earns the same amount of interest as their savings accounts. It doesn't always have cash back on the debit card, but did when I first opened the account...I'm not entirely sure what the criteria on the cash back feature are.

I too would stop using my credit cards if there was this type of account available.
