Warm Weather and Threats

The temperatures in my area of the country are warm. We hit 67 degrees yesterday. Felt, looked and smelled more like spring then the middle of winter.

Every little spot of snow is gone. :-( We haven't even went sledding this year. With my new healthier life and size I was really looking forward to this. Everything is more fun - when you can do it and breath too. :-)

Since I was not alive the last time, in the 1950's, when tornado's ripped through our area in January, I'm shocked by the weather pattern.

Of course, that was the least of my worries last night, as the tornado's were touching down one, right after the other.

No, I do not live close to the Wisconsin border. Yes, we were under a tornado watch. Although, my fears stemmed from where our child was.

DD2 and a new friend from college, decided to go skiing up in Wisconsin. Only to arrive and find, no snow. Total bummer. But they are young and having fun.

When hearing of the touchdowns, we were slamming the text messages to her. She thinks we are over protective. We think we are being parents. I guess it is a family win-win. :-)

Calm, warm weather today. They are calling for steady falling temps, but as long as the tornado's are out of the forecast, we are good.
