Bad Guys Growing In Numbers Everyday

Everyday, I turn on the news and someones personal information has been mis-handled by a company or someone is sharing how their good name was taken from them. It is so common anymore. I remember a time when it was rare and a shock to hear of a stolen identity. And most times, it ended up being a family member.

Times have changed.

We are all at risk. Tonight the news had a clip of the new Social Security Cards that may be issued. Complete with a scan bar, picture of the person and a finger print. All to help insure that a persons identity is safer.

I'm sure before 1/100th of the public has these new and improved social security cards, a crook will have a plan to by-pass the safety's. Why do criminals work so fast and the good guys move like snails.

I saw some other blogs talking about lifelock. I went to take a look and I think these guys are on to something. Yes, they are just providing a service that we could do for ourselves, but wouldn't it be great to know it is taken care of?

I think it is a bargain for anyone who uses credit. At $10 a month, it is even affordable. Just set it up and then forget about it. This company does all the work. You just collect your annual credit reports, that they order for you every year and then forget about it. You are protected.

Why didn't I think of this company?

Something to note - this company LifeLock, is so confident in their services that they guarantee up to $1 million to protect your good name, if under their watch, your identity is stolen. With those kinds of numbers, you can bet they are going to be watching like a junk yard dog.

I have Identity Theft Insurance in my home owners policy, but this is so much more.
