Magnetism of Cash

**Focusing on my Lenten Positives **

Wow, what a weekend. The first in Lent for me to step out of my comfort and give to the unexpected. I knew it would be fun and heart warming, but it is more then I expected.

Plus, I had no idea how sneaky you have to be. As my hubby pointed out, sometimes you can't just walk up to someone and give. A certain situation we ran across this weekend, reminded him of me with my kids - way back when. He was convinced that the mother, was too much like me - from his observations. Which he believed to be unwelcoming towards charity.

Some sneaky movements and dropping of funds was a way to give, without fan fare. It worked too. I was able to be in a position that allowed me to see the end result. Which worked perfect. The happiness was in the eyes of the whole family.

I think I am going to have so much fun with this.

Now to explain my magnetism to cash right now. After giving out all my cash, that was left on Saturday, I was feeling awesome. How cool to help people like a secret santa. Afterwards, we attended a school activity and participated in the 50/50. We never win these things, but we always contribute.

Well, not this weekend. This weekend we won. Which put us on the giving end again. With a mission to be cash free before Sunday evening. It was a bit more difficult, with limited time. Added to cold, cold, freezing cold sub-zero degree weather.

I'm happy to report, that we DID succeed. Almost, like these folks were dropped in front of us.

Have they always been there? And we just didn't see?

Mission accomplished. It was a decent amount of cash we won, so I'm amazed we made it. I was beginning to wonder if we would - so few were out and about in the cold.

My wallet is once again full -for my 2nd week. I can't wait to see my challenges for this week. Don't get me wrong - I don't want folks to be in need. I just hope I see the ones that are. Otherwise my whole plan and efforts would be in vain. Not as easy as I thought - find the cause alone. It just may make me a better person - paying attention to the world around me.
