Save Money on Utilities

These Spring days do make the cooler nights more noticeable. As your body tries to adjust to these temperature changes, most of us are feeling the chill after the sun sets. Which of course leads to a raise in the thermostat to cover the chill.

Last night, when my day was winding down, I felt the cold settling in. I was surprised that I felt it after a beautifully warm day here. Not to mention I was still doing some laundry and changing bed sheets, because I wasn't able to do it earlier with all my work and hospital visits. I was also sipping hot cups of tea for the better part of the night.

That is when it hit me. I thought I should warm my body from the inside out. I climbed down on the floor, while Cold Case was on the boob-tube and warmed my body. All it took was 30 crunches and 15 push-ups and I was feeling warm.

I got to thinking, this is an easy way to keep your thermostat down and your cash in the bank. Not to mention making yourself healthier.

I don't believe in great physical exertion late at night. I think that just effects your sleep patterns. What I do think is that, in between those hours of working and bed, we can warm up by utilizing our t.v. time. Or possibly commercials. Taking those small increments of time and doing a little physical activity.

For an at-home-worker like me, I can utilize this throughout my work day too. Since, I leave the furnace off from when the family leaves till they come home.
