What I learned today on my travels - thanks to WGN Talk Radio.

Have an I-Pass, EZ-Pass or other electronic device to pay tolls? - Beware of a couple things. Any vehicle you use it in, needs to be registered - Even Rental Cars - OOOPS I missed this one. Although, they do not check every vehicle, if the transponder fails to record the toll, they will match up your plate picture and charge your account accordingly. If the vehicle isn't registered - a ticket goes out. You can get out of it, but why have the hassle?

You'd think rental car folks would share this tidbit with you. Hmmm.

The next 1/2 of this is, if your transponder miss reads, you need to look into replacing it. In Illinois, this can be done for free at Jewel Grocery Stores, or with the Toll Way Department.
